How long can I expect my photo prints to last? - top of page
According to independent studies undertaken by the Wilhelm Imaging research centre, customers can expect their 4 x 6 prints from HP micro-lab printers to resist fading for over 200 years.

Can I really print on canvas? - top of page
Yes - the variety of surfaces that can now be printed on thanks to digital technology is extremely exciting. Canvas has become a very popular choice for consumers in the last few years and many retailers now offer a wide range of display options.

What's the best way to save and store my images? - top of page
Most people pay little attention to this critical question with consumers generally choosing to store the majority of their images on computer.

While this may seem safe the key point to bear in mind is the need to have a backed-up, off-site repository for your precious images. Fire, floods or theft in the home can render the popular practise of keeping your images in your computer completely useless.

To be really safe it's best to back up your files onto either a CD or use a product like HP SimpleSave Photo. Each 'smart' disc can store up to 2,000 images and be rapidly transported in an emergency.

Who can help me repair an old photo that's torn and scratched? - top of page
Photos deteriorate over time and sadly can get torn or damaged through accidents or when in transit. Should you have some valuable old photos in need of repair then simply check out the listing of retailers who offer photo restoration services. You'll be amazed at what they can do to put life back into your photos and make them look almost like new again.

What is a photo book? - top of page
Photo books are the digitised version of the traditional photo album. With photo books there's no need to buy an album, print your photos and insert them into plastic sleeves, often without any accompanying text.
With photo books you get to create exactly what you want. You can from choose lots of different features including the style of photo book cover, how big the photos appear on each page, what text you'd like inserted, how many photos you want per page and even the individual background design of the page.
Photo books can be made in-store at your local photo retailer or over the internet via the convenience of your home computer.

What is a photo kiosk or teller? - top of page
A photo kiosk or teller is that computer-looking product that stands or sits on a table at your local photo retailer. Most are touch-screen operated and can produce a variety of creative products ranging from simple 6" x 4" prints to personalised calendars, photo greeting cards, posters and photo books.

What's the benefit of buying a digital photo frame? - top of page
Digital photo frames are another product that has revolutionised the way we share and display our favourite images. Frames now come in a wide range of sizes from small 3.5" screens to much larger 15" models. They are a very convenient way to share your images with family, friends and work colleagues as many models offer features such as different display modes and include music, calendar and clock functions.
